Skid resistance and friction tester apparatus
Instrument used to determine surface roughness and accelerated polishing coefficient.
The instrument can be used in situ or in the laboratory for two types of test:
- To assess the frictional characteristics of road surfaces using the sliding resistance test.
- For polishing tests on aggregates (curved specimens) resulting from the accelerated polishing test (wear), see machine CT0128.
The instrument consists of:
+ pendulum,
+ additional built-in balance for testing samples of polished stone value.
+ Plexiglas ruler for checking sliding length.
+ Thermometer from -10 to +110°C for surface temperature measurement.
+ Tool set for machine operation.
+ Carrying case.
Calibration certificate in compliance with EN 1097-8.
Supplied with:
+ Set of 2 skids, 76 mm thick, for in situ pavement testing, supplied with certificate of conformity.
+ Set of 2 pads 32 mm thick, for laboratory polishing tests to determine the polishing coefficient CPA (PSV/Polished Stones Value). Supplied with certificate of conformity.
Case dimensions: 730x730x330 mm
Weight: 32 kg.
